ABOUT JENNINGS RENOVATIONS

Jennings Renovations is a licensed, bonded, and insured general contracting company serving Philadelphia's western suburbs since 2012. We specialize in interior home remodeling and renovations.

Our Philosophy

Our client-focused company accepts one job at a time to dedicate 100% of our attention to your project. Communication is paramount to our work philosophy. We will only make decisions with you, the client understanding the what and why of all choices. We take pride in our work and want to be satisfied with the finished project as much or even more in some cases than the homeowner. We are detailed oriented and have high standards for the work we perform.

What to expect during your renovation

We are on the job site 8hrs a day, five days a week. Our work hours are generally 8:30-4:30, with a half-hour lunch break. We typically perform all phases of the project ourselves. On rare occasions, the scope of work requires specialty contractors to complete a specific step. We subcontract out only to individuals we know, trust, and have the same work philosophy we employ.

Depending on the project, we prefer to cordon off the area where work is to be performed and keep a fan in the window to utilize negative air pressure to ensure all airborne dust stays out of the rest of your home. We use temporary site protection and remove it at the end of each day. Permanent site protection remains installed throughout the project. We clean and vacuum at the end of every workday and ensure all areas we utilize are tidy. Renovations are messy affairs, and we are highly mindful of keeping all construction-related mess contained and out of the rest of your living space.

Our Process

Initial phone consultation

We'll ask several questions during our initial phone conversation:

  • Location of your house

  • Age of your home

  • Style of your house (Colonial, Tudor, Split Level, Cape Cod, etc.)

  • The general scope of work requested

  • Have prior renovations been done to your home? If so, when and where?

From this information, we'll be able to ballpark a general cost range based on similar projects we have done. We'll book an in-person consultation if that number aligns with your budget

In PERSON consultation

We’ll visit your home and review the area you want renovated. We’ll go over your wish list and discuss options and possibilities. We’ll generate a list of decisions that have been finalized and those that need to be made. We’ll suggest suppliers, vendors, and products to review and, if required, generate floor plans. Once all the details have been established and floor plans approved, we’ll create an estimate based on the specific details of your project. This process can take several visits because it is crucial to ensure all relevant details are worked out well ahead of time.

ESTIMATE

We detail a comprehensive scope of work outlining every task to be completed, method, and materials to be used from initial site protection and load-in to final cleanup and pull-off. We detail what materials we will provide and what materials are the homeowner's responsibility. Generally, we supply all building materials, and the homeowner supplies all fixtures, appliances, and finishes. We break out the estimate into projected labor and building materials costs. Once the estimate is accepted, we move on to scheduling.

SCHEDULE

We operate on a first-come-first-serve basis. Once the estimate is approved, we will give you a general timeline for when your project will begin. We will update you on that schedule as we complete the preceding projects. During that time, we will contact all vendors and suppliers to ensure we order all necessary items to arrive when we need them.

ACCEPTED PAYMENT METHODS & SCHEDULE

We break most jobs into approximately five payments spread throughout the project timeline. We require the initial payment to be made the first-day work begins, with subsequent payments tied to specific milestones and final payment once we complete all work.

We accept cash, checks, credit cards (with processing fee), Zelle, Venmo, and Apple Cash.
